Howdy
Well, i finally have a blog now. I honestly thought i would never get one, but the need to get my name out into the world in as many ways as possible for future carreers was inevitable. I hope that you can be entertained, educated and just hang out here . . . as soon as i put something in here that is all those things.
If your wondering whats this “toil” and “another day under the sun” is, it comes from the book of Ecclesiastes. It was written by King Solomon, who was probably the most powerful man to have ever lived. When he took the throne, he was granted wisdom by God, for that was all he asked to have. And his life was a testament to the fact that nothing on this Earth can satisfy our passions and desires. In wisdom, Solomon sought out to built massive temples, forrests, had parties with thousands of attendants, married 700 women, had 300 concubines and had every pleasure imaginable, over and over. Nothing ever satisfied. Eventually it all grew bitter an old, always leaving him to want more and more. And throughout this book, he constantly speaks on how vain our toil under the sun is. It is like a fat man on a tread mill, always running, never going anywhere. Now, i dont look at life on this Earth as meaningless, but i am simply of the mindset that nothing will satisfy me except the Living God! So, everyday I dont look to further my status in this world but instead seek the wisdom and knowledge of God.
I pray that you have a blessed week!
